Million Dollar Women (MDW) is a social venture with the mission of helping one million women get to $1M in revenues. We are based in NYC and this is an in-office position. Our online membership site, Million Dollar Women Network, helps women entrepreneurs in the United States and Canada get access to affordable business training, mentorship, and alternative capital. We are seeking an Executive Assistant / Social Media Manager based in New York City to support our Founder and CEO, Julia Pimsleur, and work with a team of six (FT and PT).

This position is best for someone who is passionate about women’s economic empowerment, and specifically, women entrepreneurs and WOC entrepreneurs. We are seeking someone who has experience with online communities, online courses, marketing funnels, and/or accelerators or entrepreneur organizations and a passion for social change. MDW also has a nonprofit arm, the MDW Fund (mdwfund.org), which provides scholarships to Women of Color (WOC) entrepreneurs and we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to celebrating diversity on our team and in our community.

Start date: January 2, 2023 (start date is flexible for the right person)

 

This position is part social media ideation and execution and part executive assistant. Seeking a self-starter and detail-oriented team member who has worked with tech platforms. Role is part social media, part assistant tasks (writing emails, working in our tech platforms such as Square, Ontraport CRM, etc) helping with calendar and events. Join a small, high energy and friendly team in Manhattan. Our ideal candidate is inspired by helping women in business succeed and build their own successful businesses.

 

The position is hybrid and New York City based. Please only apply if you are ALREADY IN THE NYC AREA and can easily commute to Manhattan. Office is located in a great neighborhood close to Central Park, subway and entertainment. We will conduct interviews on Zoom and in person.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Social Media:

  • Compose, design, and post content (working with our social media team)

  • Proactively suggest new content and help with creation

  • Grow audience and engagement

Executive assistant:

  • Draft emails

  • Work in our tech platforms (Ontraport, Square, Thrivecart, Zapier, WordPress)

  • Set up appointments for CEO

  • Work with other team members to coordinate efforts

  • Prepare for webinars and live virtual and in-person events

Requirements:

  • Good at email correspondence

  • Enjoys speaking with members and solving problems

  • Experienced in social media (Instagram, FB, etc)

  • Must be tech savvy and willing to learn new skills in this area

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), PayPal, etc

  • Some graphic design skills - experienced with Canva

  • Positive energy and play well with others

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Sense of humor!

  • Availability to work at our Manhattan office at least 3 days per week. Flexible hours and possibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week of the 5 days.

Director of Partnerships

Million Dollar Women (MDW) is a social venture with the mission of helping one million women get to $1M in revenues. We are based in Manhattan, and this is a hybrid, partly in-office position. Our online education platform and membership site helps women entrepreneurs in the United States and Canada get access to affordable business training, mentorship, and capital. We are seeking a Director of Partnerships who is already based in the New York City. There is a path to even greater leadership in the organization for the right person and this could become a full time position.

Director of Partnerships will take the lead on maintaining existing partnerships with women's organizations and corporations and initiate new relationships that will lead to new members and partners for Million Dollar Women.


Responsibilities:

- Oversee all partner relationships (currently 9 partners) and forge new partnerships.
- Work directly with the CEO and with a team of five, based partly in NYC and partly remote.
- Master systems that drive the organization. Current systems include Canva, Mighty Networks, Zapier, Square, Ontraport, Clickup and Stripe. Comfort with online platforms, software and apps is required, even if no prior experience with these specific systems.


Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of experience working in a leadership position, ideally within a coaching, education, product or services company
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, data-driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience and skills in acquiring customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, often involving external resources
- Proficiency in Google Tools - Sheets, Calendar, Mail, Slides
- Experience and/or is comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Has been an entrepreneur herself who may simply be looking for part time work to level up her biz skills and her own network
-Flexible to "wear different hats" like in a start-up culture
- Genuinely passionate about being a advancing women entrepreneurs
- Comfortable communicating in person and virtually with partners, members, our independent contractors, and possibly potential investors
- Organized and detail oriented
